Sigenergy Van on Tour with Rapid Renewables: Taking Smart Energy on the Road

The best way to understand new technology is about seeing it up close, asking the questions that matter and having a conversation with the people who work with it every day.

Toward the end of August, the Sigenergy van hit the road and joined Rapid Renewables in Brackley and Heathrow, bringing the latest in smart energy technology directly to installers and giving them the opportunity to get hands on with the Sigenergy products.

Bringing the technology to installers

For installers, time is valuable. Getting away from the day-to-day demands of installations can be difficult, which is why bringing technology directly to the installer community makes such a difference.

The Rapid Renewables training days created an opportunity to step away from the usual sales conversation and get into the real-world questions with a focus on Sigenstor.

Sigenergy’s intelligent energy storage solution and a key part of the wider Sigenergy ecosystem. The training gave installers the opportunity to get closer to the technology, understand how the system works and explore how smart storage can support different customer energy needs. From the practical considerations of installation to the wider benefits of integrated energy management, it was a chance to move beyond the product brochure and get into the real-world applications that matter on site. For installers, the more they understand the product, the more confidently they can design, install and support the right energy solution for their customers.

The value of face-to-face training

Events like the Sigenergy on Tour sessions provide the Fáilte Solar and Sigenergy teams the chance to hear directly from installers about what they are seeing on the ground.

1. What are customers asking for?
2. What challenges are installers facing?
3. Where could the installation process be made easier?

Those conversations help shape the support we provide and ensure we’re not simply supplying products, we’re supporting the people who install them.

A big part of Sigenergy on Tour is bringing the training directly to installers, and Matt Cooke, National Partnerships Manager at Fáilte Solar, has been at the heart of that. Travelling with the team, Matt is helping installers get closer to the technology, understand how the systems work and have the conversations that really matter on site. And, of course, he brought his camera along for the journey!

We’re delighted to share first-hand responses from Simon Ray of SPI Renewables UK and Dave Budd of Rapid Renewables, giving us a real insight into their experience of the tour, the training and what they’re taking away from it. Because sometimes, the best way to understand the value of a training session is to hear it directly from the people who were there.

 

Building installer confidence

As solar and storage systems become more sophisticated, installer knowledge is becoming increasingly important.

Technology can offer incredible functionality, but installers need to understand how the different components work together, how systems should be designed and what to consider when bringing those technologies into a customer's home or business.
